DUMBSTRUCK

*Places non bias goggles on face*
Ladies and gents, boys and girls, tramps and hoes and sporadic music scouts alike – gather together in anticipation...
There’s a new band on the scene.

Ok melodramaticism now over.
In each 'Lyrical Genius' segment I’ve decided to showcase a variety of musically gifted artists floating around out there that manage to entice my abnormally small ears. Don’t get me twisted; I am no fancy music connoisseur/reviewer.  I repeat I cannot, and will not, be able to express to you how the ‘dynamic up beat tempo creates an enigmatic ambiance’, if that’s what you’re looking for…yeah, nah.
All I plan on doing  is to just simply express what I think sounds good.

The next band that my miniature ears have sniffed up is a semi-cool pop punk band called Dumbstruck

We all at some point, have an unrealistic dream. Whether it be splurged, mumbled and grumbled out of our infant mouths; “I want to be a famous rockstar” actor, artist or bloodsucking politician (each to their own). We’ve all been there.
But to actually reach out and make that dream a tangible reality, is the real challenge. And that is exactly what these three scruffheads have managed to do. Making their “unrealistic” dream of, I quote:

“crappy high school band hoping to eventually become a crappy band.”

more and more real.

I can tell you, making music isn't an easy gig. Making good music is even harder. But making music I occasionally find myself singing in the shower to- that is the ultimate achievement. I am very selective about shower music. That alone should be persuasion enough to check these guys out. For me, to have the chance to mix and be friends with some incredibly talented musicians and cool human beings evokes the proud granny within me.
