MADE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND VIDEO CHECK IT OUT MA DEARIES

ALRIGHT, INDIVIDUALISM.

Ages ago, Whislt having a facetime session with a friend, I/we realised something.
*sorta-kind-epiphany-time*
We realised that the true meaning of individualism has been distorted.
Warped and d I s t o T e d  by the cynicism of the modern world. And to me the true, core meaning of the word has been lost in translation.
So waddido...I dance (sorry private joke, just chuckle like you're involved) What I actually did was to embark on a trip, that required only the movement of my fingers, I googled what individuality & originality actually stood for.
What I got was that to be an individual is to be genuine to your character, not to falsify an image of yourself.

I feel like time's dreary impact on humanity has resulted in sheer repetition of human action. Of course after, what, 2000 years of humans roaming the earth, its gets progressively harder to fulfill the appetite for the 'new'. And things get pretty old, pretty quick. Consequently spurring a desire to construct a falsified "individualism" in a desperate attempt to produce something 'brand new' & distinct, just anything really that hasn't been done before. This disdain for mediocrity results in someone, somewhere, creating something illogical and meaningless- then shoving it under the bracket of 'art'.  If it's weird, its art??
The craving for the "brand new", going against traditional norms,  can lead to the production of positive artistic creations. But similarly can also produce things that just seem like a poor insincere and hollow attempt to be "indie". If I was to do or make something stupid and unusual and add some bullshit explanation, with some fancy words inserted; my action can be construed artistic.

But idk if that's just my skeptical side kicking in I mean who am I to judge legitimacy
I might do things that seem like an insincece forced attempt to copy the indie trend but, I know within myself its not a purposeful venture to prove to others that I'm 'indie or 'cool' (even though I am, but that's besides the point) but rather I just seem to like that "mum jean" or that weird pattern or illustration, I genuinely like it not because of I hunger for external approval. I like external approval, but I don't NEED it.
I use to though, a lot. Here's a little story:

Once upon a time, lil' Tide was on the bus, minding her own business, looking and feeling amazing with her discount weave. Out of nowhere, she hears "your hair looks like a birds nest".heckled by 3 butch older girls in the upper year.Next day, Tide's discount weave/birds nest was no more.

Yes, that actually happened to me in year 9...yes I did shed tears because of that debilitating insult. Not quite over i- oh, yup, over it.

Moral of this long-winded post: Do you, boo. WEAR THAT DISCOUNT WEAVE!!!

Tea-day xox
