4 months.

4 MONTHS!!

I'm 4 months late. Bruh.

How time has just slipped away. "Tide what happened since you've been away?" I hear you scream in anticipation!...Well, nothing much. ya'no,  I just got my AS results back, turned 18, casually had a mid-life crisis THE USUAL. I kid! Almost too much has happened.
First and foremost I'd like to thank God for my results and the day to day blessings. Sometimes, as time goes on, you forget to just be thankful for the way your life is, although it may not be ideal, its there. You're living it. So do stuff. Do things. And be thankful. I've been so complainy and whiny and a all round lil' french fry recently, writing this spurred me on to think of what has happened in these last few months, and in doing so I realise how well my life is progressing. It's not by any means perfect, not even close, but there is enough positivity to be content. One of them being my results! So overall I got ABB...and D ( English, bloody English, warreva me no spek it anywai).

Going through the UCAS process and looking through university prospects is nerve-racking and full on exciting. I want to study International Relations and my ideal uni to do so would be Manchester Uni. Do you know when you are just inexplicably drawn to something, that's how I feel, I'm enticed.
My choices:

University of Manchester
University of Nottingham
University of Birmingham
University of Liverpool /or/Southampton
University of Essex

As I said, I'm 18 now, hurray :D! Its all well and good. But being 18 doesn't make me automatically feel anything...at all. In all it's cliché-y wonderfulness, the saying 'age is just a number', resonates deep within me. I strongly believe the experiences we have dictate how we see the world and how mature we are - not age. And by no means does maturity equals mundanity, imo maturity means being comfortable with who are. I really love this quote by Ursula K. Le Guin:

The "mid-life crisis" was just me not feeling comfortable with who I am, although I can't exactly pin point why that is. But honestly, putting things in perspective, life is bigger than this little blip. I know things will get better, I just can wait for the next stage of my life. Bring it on!

As always, thanks for reading his lil' catch up; have a brilliant day you fabulous collection of cells you.

Diss of the day: French fry (Inspired by Trizza)
